The developers you interact with day to day are overall great to work with. The pay and benefits are generous compared to other UK companies.
You have to work with too many time zones all the time, which will result in long hours sometimes. Higher leadership is not concerned about the people when they make decisions. There were so many reorgs in the last 3 years that no one owns anything anymore. Getting a promotion is almost impossible no matter how hard you try. If you don't want to be disappointed, just be mediocre and have no expectations. Don't expect recognition.
If you want people to work longer hours to accommodate different time zones, at least give them some time off in lieu and make this part of the culture. Hire more skilled engineers who will actually get stuff done instead of more directors.
