Pros

Good location. Fantastic benefits. Decent facilities. Good reputation (for now).

Cons

Unrealistic expectations from VPs to come in evenings and weekends to meet unrealistic release goals made my management cut features to make the release date. This happens with every release.

Very noisy atmosphere that makes it difficult to work.

Advice to Management

Management needs to plan better and stop punishing employees for unattainable goals.

Making all dev employees come in on weekends to meet goals they aren't contributing towards is ridiculous.

The award system is completely unfair and arbitrary; investigate it.

Middle management is ineffective and apathetic. Do not just promote employees to management because of seniority, promote because of leadership and people skills.

Do NOT transition us to cubes that offer less privacy and more distractions than the current cubicles. It is already difficult enough to concentrate. This is a sure-fire way to decrease productivity.

Allow the development team to work from home without penalty!

Free pizza does not make up for the loss of family time.
