Waste of time, you are just a number.
About a month to receive and do HireVue video answers for 7 Java/JavaScript questions (design patterns, microservices, abstract classes, ===).
Then a few weeks later, an hour-long Zoom interview with 4 managers. Due to COVID, not in office, general behavioral questions with a few Java questions thrown in (singleton, interfaces, design patterns).
Weeks later, no feedback, no communication. Interviewers seem overworked and impatient to move on, just ticking their daily quota.
In hindsight, I think I could have dodged a bullet there, as the impression I got is that they are about a decade behind the rest of the industry technology-wise, with a lot of bureaucracy strangling innovation. You could see the lack of enthusiasm in interviewers and how HireVue is being used to depersonalize the whole process further.
Behavioural questions (tell about your last job, why Fidelity?, what you like/dislike about your past job, describe your day).
