As this was for a contract position, there was just one Zoom meeting with two DevOps engineers.
I was asked about my overall experience and my tech stack. They asked me some questions regarding that, e.g., "How to tell if a remote agent goes down in Elastic Stack?"
Overall, the interview was good, and the two guys were great.
However, I got offered the position the following Monday (the interview was on a Friday), but they moved the goalposts. I was looking for 100% remote, but they wanted me onsite 2 days a week. I was very clear about that from the beginning; I find it hard to believe that they "missed" that bit in my communications.
I wanted time to consider it, as the day rate was quite good: €550 per day.
I was contacted 20 minutes later that the job was no longer available as it was offered to someone else.
Talk about my experience and tech stack.
