I was contacted through a third-party recruiter. I had two interview sessions in April 2020. Due to Covid-19, both interviews were through video calls.
My first call was with two engineers. We discussed my experience in Java development and what features of the language (in Java 8 and 9) I use. It was pleasant and normal, with no trick questions or anything.
It took about three weeks to arrange the second call. This time, it was with a mix of technical and managerial people. The questions were more about work organization and methodology (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
Overall, there wasn't anything wrong with the interview process itself. It was the conclusion that surprised me: they told me they preferred a candidate with "more Python experience". However:
I felt my time was wasted here.
