I got a mail and call regarding openings from many consultancies. Assuming that there are bulk openings, I replied with my expected salary and notice period to one of them. They are more interested in the "Form 16" of previous companies.
First, they will ask you whether you have the Form 16 from all the companies. If you don't have it, they will not consider your profile. It seems that if you have Form 16, it is assumed that you will have all domain and testing knowledge.
One more thing I noticed during the interview process: they will have openings for automation testers and will call you even if you are a database tester. After taking two rounds of interviews, they will tell you that they have openings for automation testers. It really sucks.
There are three rounds of interviews:
The written test was easy. But when they started the technical interviews, although the opening was for ETL testing (not informed at the time of resume shortlisting), and I was a manual + automation tester, I don't know how the interviewer cleared me for the first round.
At the time of the second technical round, the interviewer told me that the opening was for ETL testing and asked me to leave. Not only me, but several others were in the same situation. It really sucks. If there is no opening for your profile, they should not shortlist your resume. Companies shouldn't publish fake job openings to consultancies.
