Pros

Great individuals, best 401k matching, friendly environment.

Cons

Team members from different locations are required to return to the office, even though their colleagues are not in the same office. This results in them participating in Zoom calls from the office rather than from home.

Employees who were fully remote and based in different states are effectively being pushed to resign. They have been given until the end of the year to secure new positions.

There is a push for cloud adoption, but it is complicated by significant bureaucratic obstacles. Once employees began to understand AWS, management started requesting justification for the move to the cloud, despite the fact that the push was initiated by the same management team.

Advice to Management

Restricting remote work for employees who have been remote since before the pandemic may lead to talent loss. It raises the question of whether this approach is a way to achieve layoffs unofficially.
