I have learned a lot about myself professionally during my tenure here. There have been plenty of opportunities to work with various teams and technologies, and I am a much more well-rounded engineer because of it. You get as much out of it as you put in. The teams and management I have worked with have allowed me to gain plenty of visibility with upper management.
Due to the nature of the financial industry and a large financial firm that has been around for over 70 years, it can be difficult to innovate and move quickly on new projects due to a lot of legacy software. There are times where it is difficult to function as a technology company when there are limitations on systems.
Empower teams to innovate and make their own informed decisions.
