For context, I was a software developer intern at Fidelity's Cary office in North Carolina.
I had a great team; they were very homey, and I felt very welcome from my first week to my last.
I appreciate that they created a little 'intern corner' for myself and a few other interns. It really helped us get to know each other, and we ended up hanging out regularly during the week and weekends.
I love Macs and Terminal, and unfortunately everyone works off of a Lenovo laptop. I got used to working on Windows, but I still would have liked to have the option to use a Mac (there are a few people that do, but not really for interns).
Some of the intern events are 'corny' (lots of team bonding type things like stacking cups, etc.). Not really my thing, but I still had lots of fun at the others (Go Karts, volunteer event, etc.).
Ribbit is pretty infuriating to use.
Applied on campus for the role. Started with an OT for qualification. Was followed by a technical interview. After that, there was an HR round. Then they told who got selected. Selected 15 out of 80 people.
Emailed by recruiter for a 1-hour personality interview. A follow-up call was a 1-hour Zoom technical/personality interview. The technical interview was 60% technical Java/OOP questions, 20% personality questions, and 20% time for me to ask questions
Round 1: Online Test - Aptitude + 2 Coding Questions (Basic + Medium) Round 2: Technical Interview (1 hour) Round 3: HR Interview (30 mins) Overall a good hiring process.
