The first few interviews were good, with excellent questions and engaged interviewers. After the final round, it took two weeks to hear back. I had 3-4 calls with the recruiter during this time, which were a waste of my time given that they had no actual update.
When they finally started giving out the offer, the hiring manager and recruiter gave conflicting information about whether I even had an offer. They were also following up on questions about title/role/salary that I hadn't even asked. This was a red flag, and I immediately accepted a different offer once I realized they were not communicating with each other and appeared to have confused me for another final round applicant. It seems like a very basic mistake.
The company is scaling too fast for its own good. Perhaps the industry-wide slowdown is actually a good thing for maintaining good culture and a good recruiting experience.
Fairly straightforward questions, I don't remember any standouts.
