DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer Interview Experience - New York, New York

Process

Applied for the SRE-Clinical Research position and interviewed over the phone with the Hiring Manager and another Sr. Manager, who were also on the call.

It is very frustrating or discouraging to do a peer code or HackerRank assignment while those two folks look over your shoulder.

For SRE/DevOps, we don't come from a coding background, but we can write Terraform/K8s or other configurations – not high-level programming.

Expecting that write-in during the interview was new to me. If it had been given as a take-home assignment, it would have been better.

Questions

Scenario-based questions on how you troubleshoot. Do a HackerRank or peer code for a problem.
