I already had an offer on the table and requested an expedited process from Flatiron. They were able to meet my timeframe and worked around my schedule to get all the signals they needed.

I had a one-hour phone screen to discuss my background and do a technical exercise. For the onsite, I met with five different people; some of whom participated in whiteboard exercises, and some who were discussions about me and my background.

I was also pleasantly surprised that when they received a weak signal on something, they determined that the problem might have been with what they asked me. They invited me back to redo that one portion of the interview with a question that was more relevant to my background.

I felt the process was fair and that they tried to take bias out of the equation. I thought the overall process was positive.
