Process

I was contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn.

The interview with the recruiter lasted about 30 minutes and had straightforward questions like, "Why do you want to switch?" "What's your experience like?", etc. I was asked to schedule a video call with one of their engineers within the next two weeks.

The video interview was for 45 minutes. The interviewer was pretty humble and also helpful. The first 20 minutes was basically talking about my experience with different tools, what I do at my present company, what was the hardest task that I worked on, what was the best project that I worked on, etc. Then we jumped onto CoderPad. I had about 20 minutes to solve a programming problem related to DFS. I figured out about 90% of the problem, and the interviewer said he was satisfied with my solution.

Next day, I received an update informing I was not a better match. Overall, everyone was professional, and I'd try again.

Suggestions to whoever is applying: Be prepared to answer questions related to BFS, DFS, and Binary Trees.

Questions

A problem related to Max Islands in a 2D array.
