Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - India

Process

I was called by Flipkart HR for the F2F interview. I have around 9 years of experience in Java.

Cons:

  • Though one might attend only one round of interview, one has to spend a whole day.
  • There is no parking at the office. You have to park outside, and there is no security at all.
  • You should go with your personal laptop.

Questions

Round 1: The person who conducted this round was very polite and helpful. This was a programming round lasting 2 hours.

Implement UNDO/REDO functions in a Text Editor. You are expected to write test cases as well.

The interviewer helped me at every stage; it was a good experience.

Round 2: The person who conducted this round was the opposite of the previous one. I think he is a fresher from IIT or some other well-known engineering college. He does not know how to handle experienced candidates and should learn a lot in this area before conducting interviews. The company should provide some training for these interviewers. I am not saying this round should not be held for experienced candidates; there should be a formal and proper process.

You have a set of axes and must plot a line that contains the most axes. (A college mathematics question)

Some puzzles were also presented.
