I was called in for a recruitment drive happening on a weekend. I felt their arrangement for the panel and interview conduction was totally unprofessional. While I was told that it would take 4-5 hours for the entire interview process to be over, they actually made us sit from 9:30 in the morning to 7:30 in the evening, and still, the interview rounds were not complete. There were gaps of 2-3 hours between each round. They had called more people than the panel could handle. I was told I would be called for the final round later and then let go.
I kept following up with them for the final round and was stunned by their unprofessionalism. They kept scheduling and canceling the interview at least four times over the next month. Finally, it happened one fine day, and the hiring manager told me I would know the result in a maximum of a couple of days. There was no intimation from HR for the next week. When I followed up with HR, she asked me questions like who took my final round and how many rounds I had taken. The height of unprofessionalism! I did not get any response after that. After a couple of days, I wrote an email to HR, and within 2 minutes, she replied that they would not be able to proceed further. No proper feedback was given, and a month-long drama of stress and tension came to an end.
