Pros

Based on a team comprising of many other sub-teams, totaling up to a headcount of ~100 people:

  • Decent pay
  • Flexibility (on paper)
Cons
  1. Managers are biased toward former employees.
  2. Wrong description and overselling by the hiring manager during hiring.
  3. No proper plan to onboard new folks.
  4. A lot of maintenance work and very little 'new feature development'.
  5. 'New feature development' mostly means copying code from one flow and pasting it into another flow.
  6. People who should be architects are managers, and they have no people management skills.
  7. It's a big company that wants to work in an agile environment but wants the work to be completed on time like a startup.
  8. Flexibility to work is on paper, but I have been working 14 hours a day just to onboard.
  9. Narcissistic bosses.
  10. People are randomly shuffled to new teams for some time to expedite project timelines, sometimes putting them in grim situations based on the culture and quality of project planning in that team, even when a person joined two weeks back.
Advice to Management

We all agree that a company wants to grow, but proper management needs to be done in terms of workforce, resources, and tech debt.
