Pros: I personally find the job very fun and fulfilling when you are able to develop and implement new tooling. The pay is pretty good; travel allows you to rake in a few extra bucks. There is a lot of room to grow and roles that you can move into.

Cons: Note this is for my department/management only; I've heard much better stories in other departments. Raises do not come quickly, and the only way to move up the ladder is to fight. Work-life balance is terrible, often working 7/12s throughout all the traditional holidays. Travel is required constantly. There is no comp time, and they don't always pay your overtime. If you do a good job, management will pretty much not allow you to move to any other department or job role. There is no WFH, even though it is very possible.

Pros: Good pay and benefits. You will learn the manufacturing business from top to bottom, every aspect of it, quickly. Working with a talented workforce, of course there will be a few bad apples in a bunch.

Cons: Lack of promotional opportunity. Promotion is only for a select few. There is no clear advancement plan with clear objectives to achieve. The rating is set; almost everyone will get "Achiever," with only about 10% for "Top Achiever." On another hand, the workload is not equally distributed. Some people will have a heavy workload, causing stress and problems with work-life balance. Hence, you can deliver a lot but be compensated equally the same as others who deliver less. Travel is heavy; you can be away for up to 24 months.

Pros: American multinational company with a good work culture.

Cons: Positions are stagnant, with slow growth.
