Some coworkers are smart and fun. Benefits are mostly good. Middle management is mostly made up of reasonable people. They do pay overtime, unlike most salaried positions.
No real career progression. Management structure was constantly changing with no real reason why. I hated the work culture.
I felt like I went backward in my career taking this job, as it felt more like construction management rather than process engineering or battery manufacturing. I feel I didn't learn much.
Also, I think leadership doesn't understand the EV market.
Give a better sense of direction and overall goals.
Instead of building three gigawatt factories at the same time when you had never built one before and had no experience in battery manufacturing, maybe you should have focused on building just one first and then expanded from there with lessons learned.
