Pros

The D&R position had great work-life balance. The Christmas shutdown was nice.

Cons

Convoluted processes, loads of bureaucracy, misleading middle management, insulated upper management, and low employee morale.

Advice to Management

Cut middle management positions. Focus on simplifying processes and decision-making to cut costs. Empower employees to own their work and live or die by their successes or failures. Get out of the way.
