Pros

The company offers significant opportunities for career development and growth.

It requires investment and involvement on your part, so you shouldn’t expect someone to tap you on the shoulder and ask if you want a promotion without displaying any initiative.

The company pays well and is generous with its benefits. Unfortunately, times have changed since I began working there, and they no longer offer pensions for retirement. So, I would recommend new employees bargain hard up front for a higher salary.

Cons

The buildings are all old and dumpy, so if you’re hoping to land in a Google-like environment, you will be disappointed. They are making an attempt to improve the physical work environment, but keep in mind building a $35K-$45K vehicle is capital-intensive, which leaves little money to invest in a working environment.

Advice to Management

Improve the physical work environment and require all employees to have a rotation in a plant or warehouse to gain an appreciation for the product.
