Pros

Constructive work environment and no micromanagement. Most of it depends on the kind of supervisor.

Lot of learning opportunities and a flexible schedule.

Cons

It takes a while before you get your first project. The workload is kind of imbalanced; either you're too busy wishing that you had a 48-hour day, or you barely have anything to do.

Advice to Management

Vacation days for the state's could be better. Beginning with two weeks a year, with one week forced vacation for the July shutdown, is not a great option.
