Pay is average and highly varies, even for the same job. There are too many middle managers, too much bureaucracy, and office politics. Some departments are short-staffed and basically expect one employee to do the job of two. Job satisfaction is highly dependent on your boss or department. If you get stuck in a department that won’t let you leave, get out sooner rather than later.
