Don't expect anything if you are a contractor. Conversions these days are really rare, almost impossible to happen. Management usually prefers to bring someone from another department with zero experience into a senior position role rather than convert a contractor with years of experience in that role or hire externally.
Look after your contractors. Give them an opportunity to rise and shine. Most of them work more and better than permanent employees.
