Cons: A lot of Chinese, and sometimes I may need to meet with other team members in Asia after working hours.

Pros: Good work culture, best in work-life balance. Have opportunities to work with talented people. Lot of learning opportunities, new technologies. Examples include ML, cloud, AI, etc. Good joining goodies like jacket, T-shirt, mug, bottle, etc. Food is good and at a cheap price. Good evening snacks and fruits are available all the time. HR team is very cooperative. Company stock policies are really good, such as RSU.

Cons: Less pay hike for existing employees; good hike for new joiners. Your compensation will decide which project you work on, not the company. No training facilities for the dev team.

Pros: Since joining Fortinet at the end of June, I’ve been genuinely impressed by the company’s professionalism and strong engineering culture. Teams collaborate efficiently, communication is clear, and execution is highly disciplined. What I appreciate most is my manager’s truth-seeking attitude. Whenever an issue arises, he focuses on identifying the real root cause and finding the right long-term solution, rather than covering up problems or chasing superficial results. This level of integrity and technical rigor is very different from some of my past experiences, where management was more concerned with presenting good outcomes than addressing underlying risks or code quality. My manager and colleagues demonstrate deep expertise and strong leadership, and I’ve already gained valuable hands-on experience in systems, networking, and security. The environment truly encourages continuous learning and high-quality engineering work. I’m proud to be part of Fortinet and look forward to growing together with the team.
