Web Developer Interview Experience - Canada

Process

I applied to this company with my friend's referral.

The online assessment was very long for the given time, and some of the questions were designed poorly. For example, there was a JavaScript JSON parsing question, and jQuery was not allowed, nor was it mentioned anywhere. I wasted my time there.

I passed the online assessment and got an interview.

The interview was very unprofessional. There were 5 people: 1 manager and 4 developers. I could easily tell nobody prepared anything for the interview. Everyone, including the manager, was just googling interview questions on the spot and asking random knowledge questions when I was expecting something that I could demonstrate my coding abilities.

In short, it was a negative experience, and I truly believe that they didn't even consider me from the beginning of the interview. It was a waste of time.

Good luck.
