WLB is inconsistent, based on the release schedule. There should be better time management and expectations at the VP level, who are the "real" managers.
Freshers should avoid this place. Management does not give enough time to adjust or learn anything properly. For experienced folks, there is no problem. It's a pretty great company to retire even.
Tell VP/Director/Manager level people to learn to "trust but verify".
When in doubt, get a second or third opinion from people who know the field in question, like Researcher/Architect roles or anyone else who has proven their skills in the same domain.
Having a system of checks is never bad. I have seen multiple occasions of misinformation (unintentionally) being spread or being mishandled, which is discovered later in the implementation cycle.
I can think of at least 3 (!) people who are guilty of this, with one person improving in this regard. Some non-manager folks (but senior) are also guilty of this.
