Intro call with recruiter, then scheduled a first-round coding interview.
Coding interview consisted of a single coding question, an easy-medium LeetCode type of question. I completed the question quite easily and explained optimizations and runtime. The interviewer and I talked for a little while about the company.
Standard rejection email from recruiter. I asked for specific feedback. Apparently, my score on the coding interview was low on some of the questions. I followed up to get more specifics as to what questions, as there was only a single coding question that I got through easily.
Recruiter then denied providing any more specifics.
I am unhappy with the lack of clarity, and honestly, it feels like the rejection reason is fake. It was a simple coding problem, and I got all of the test cases to pass.
Standard string/list mutation and counter problem.
