Pros

GEICO has been through a storm and they aren't out of it yet, but they are positioned for the future and to provide a service for all of a customer's insurance needs in a one-stop digital shop, via the Marketplace.

Cons

GEICO has restructured and changed its business model, leading to turnover and new hires at the executive level. This transition time has been uncomfortable for some associates and has resulted in layoffs for others. Depending on how empowered middle and front-line management has felt, the environment in which associates are working might be negative.

Advice to Management

The necessary changes have been made to position GEICO for the future, whatever that holds. However, the company needs a rallying call for all troops/associates to be a part of the greater whole. More efforts are needed to bring about greater synergies as a company.
