Has no previous history of laying employees off. A great place to learn some fairly cutting-edge certifications. Had a lot of work, lots of conversion work from mainframe to .NET. The previous culture was family-like in a good way. Slightly more diverse? Still not a lot of African-Americans, but they appear to be making an honest attempt.
Now has a history of laying employees off—8,000 in fact. The company is losing money with every policy they sell and cannot take rate, so they are slowing policy sales and letting people go. The company has always been like Italy before unification: many fiefdoms, many of which do not cooperate. This is the only company I know of that will buy a software package from a third-party vendor and spend millions Geico-izing it.
The loss of employees with 10+ years of experience cannot be replaced with contractors.
Slow to embrace telematics and demographic shifts in the US meant ignoring Spanish speakers and losses to Progressive on both counts.
A way to turn Geico from a business that was like a family to just another US corporation who values the bottom line over everything else.
Now you too shall have the blessing of trying to attract/retain talent.
I hope Todd does not get Warren's job.

The interview process was well-structured and transparent. It began with a screening round focused on technical fundamentals, followed by a detailed technical interview covering Java, Spring Boot, and system design. I also had a coding assessment and
The interview process included: * Two coding rounds featuring LeetCode medium-level problems. * One detailed system design round where I explained architecture from my workplace. * One behavioral round assessing communication, teamwork, and problem-
