Digital Architect Interview Experience - Troy, New York

Process

I applied to the open internship position and received an email for a 30-minute non-technical interview.

There were two interviewers who called me on Skype and asked me various questions about my personality and soft skills. I was able to answer the basic questions about my weaknesses, strengths, etc., but struggled with harder questions.

At the end, they let me ask them questions, but they replied vaguely. For example, I asked what exactly was the main responsibility of this position, and they gave a vague corporate talk about "digital solutions."

Only after the interview did I learn from a former GE employee that this internship was basically for IT and data science. During the entire interview process, I was under the impression it was for a software or electrical engineering role.
