Pros: A lot of supporting infrastructure already exists. The company is broad enough for an ambitious young professional to grow.
Cons: Not the GE of the 20th century anymore. Not as glamorous.

Lots of opportunities globally.
Good pay compared with other local employers.
Cons: Too large and constantly buying and selling other businesses, so you are never sure who you are dealing with.
People move around quite a lot, so you are constantly building new relationships.
To progress, you need to be prepared to relocate.
Too many complex workflows try to meet the needs of many different functions but fail to make the process easy.
