Process
Applied through a college career fair.
I had a one-on-one chat with the representative, which led to an invitation for a formal interview the following day.
I dressed appropriately and went through the normal protocol.
When it was my turn, I sat down for a one-on-one with the interviewer. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
The questions were mostly behavioral, which was contrary to what I had prepared for. However, since I am very adaptive, I was able to flow with the unexpected change.

Pros: Good experience overall. Assignments were moderately challenging; however, sometimes the lack of interest from managers would kill the motivation.
Cons: I felt that GE is too focused on corporate greed than caring about their employees. It's strictly an OK place to work. If you have the caliber and skills, there are better places to work than GE.
The sheer size of the company is intimidating and causes massive inefficiencies throughout the organization.

Pros: Working for GE allows for a lot of opportunities to move around, especially for interns. There are a number of programs available that allow for quick advancement and rotational positions. GE is a big company, but my location felt pretty small and sedated. Being an intern, I don't really know what kind of benefits full-time employees get, but I get the impression that GE benefits are pretty decent. I liked my coworkers.
Cons: Unfortunately, as an intern, I didn't get much interesting work to do. I didn't get much real, useful experience.
Employee services like Payroll and IT are centralized and/or outsourced, and are thus a nightmare to work with. It took a week or two just to get set up to use a computer, and a few more just to get a paycheck.
