The leads are the worst. They assign tasks that we are not aware of (e.g., assigning hardware and mechanical tasks for software engineers), then escalate it to their payroll companies for replacement.
Taking leave is a crime there. The principal engineer blocks the leaves of contractual employees and is not willing to give leave even in cases of medical emergencies. He is number one in harassing contract people.
One FPGA engineer is a half-picture guy. He doesn't know what happened in the past or what will happen in the future. He simply comes and shouts, later escalating.
There is no stable or continuous work. They always switch the work within hours and later escalate or call for our replacement.
Lab engineers are very egoistic; they don't support us at any time. Even our chargers are not safe at our workspace.
There are no team lunches or snack parties for contractual employees. Even their food cost in the cafeteria is 120% higher than for full-time employees.
They don't provide any IT assets if we lose or corrupt any asset.
Don't treat contract employees as slaves.
Attended the first round. Helpful interviewer and always supportive. Selected for the second round. It was a C++ Staff Software Engineer role. It was a technical interview asking different questions on modern C++ such as 17, 20, 23, etc.
I only was able to do the first round of the technical challenge. It was the hardest and longest one I've ever taken. I got probably around 50%, but I was still told that I didn't do that bad. Only for the dedicated.
The interview process was good. Regarding salary, they will offer how much you want. HR service is good. God process. Clear communication. Company will release the offer letter immediately, with no waiting.
