Working in TSE at GE Aviation in Lynn, MA is a perfect role for someone who is not sure whether they like working in a large company or a small company. I got the experience of both while working for the Test Systems Engineering (TSE) team. Everyone on the team was super helpful and always open to teaching, which made the working environment very comfortable. The work was also challenging and provided very valuable experience in the Aerospace world. GE was also very open to letting their Co-Ops learn about other roles at GE and providing connections.
Since GE is a large company, processes can be slow at times. As a co-op, some of the work available was limited.

Long set of interviews. Mostly behavioral questions. Easy to navigate. Tough because it takes a few hours. Be prepared to meet with HR, section managers, and field experts. Overall pretty simple and straightforward process.
The interview was very conversational and easygoing. The interviewers asked basic technical questions regarding my experience and previous projects. They asked questions about sensors and other test equipment. The interview lasted a couple of hours.
