Poor pay, always trying to get more out of you for less
The field of work is interesting.
Steam turbines
Poor pay; always have to battle to get anywhere near inflation every year. Managers are unqualified and incompetent. Massive head count reductions. Never taking on any new young apprentices or enthusiastic young lads to secure the future of the business. Very poor morale. Feels like it’s being run into the ground. Terrible management that clearly don’t care about anything but 1 and 2 year financial spreadsheets before they move on to pastures green.
Invest in a younger workforce that actually cares about what they're doing.
Then, treat them how they deserve to be treated with fair pay and progression opportunities.
