Good opportunity for experiencing new software technology, good enough autonomy, and a somewhat OK salary compared to the rest of the enterprises.
No clear sight of the future, and no job safety due to GE separating its businesses. Employees are seen as potential "cost optimization" targets. No promotions except for open positions in other lines of business, which make no sense for a software architect.
Be more transparent about your ideas on employee job safety and do promote people in their own career path.
I had initially applied for a different position. When the hiring manager saw my resume, he asked that I apply for a similar role he also had, as the original was being filled internally. I interviewed with the hiring manager (chief engineer) and the
Consisted of HireVues, which then led to an Arctic Shores, eventually a final interview. This was a really easy process, but make sure you are a British national before applying.
Good, but long. Flew in for a few interviews, did most of the others remotely or over the phone. Nice staff, fairly transparent on what benefits are. Would recommend; good area.
