Awesome work-life balance. Great managers. Great work, great work-life balance.
Poor Individual Growth
Growth is not commensurate with awards, talents, skills, and abilities.
Growth depends on the organizational structure, not your own personal abilities.
The organization changed 4 times in the last 3 years. It went from a pure-play software solutions group to a domain-specific Power and Water group, and then back to a software company.
Career growth should be commensurate with abilities, performance, and skills.
Attended the first round. Helpful interviewer and always supportive. Selected for the second round. It was a C++ Staff Software Engineer role. It was a technical interview asking different questions on modern C++ such as 17, 20, 23, etc.
It was not a great experience. I just attended this for interview experience. Since it's not a paymaster, it's mostly on legacy technology and not much into cloud. It mostly seems like maintenance projects.
Initial screening was a video call on MS Teams. Went through a GE product line presentation. It was mostly a one-on-one with the hiring manager. Went through project overview and technical skills. Now waiting to hear back.
