Process

I was called in for an interview that lasted one hour. The questions were in the STAR method.

But the way I tried to make myself stand out was to add how I learned from it and applied it to future situations. The questions were very broad and can be applied to almost any situation.

So, it’s a good idea to write out some of the challenges you faced, how you overcame them, and focus on how you communicated to resolve the issue.

I did not take more than two to three minutes to answer each question. That way, it is focused.

I would highly recommend practicing random interview questions beforehand just so it jogs your memory of different situations you have encountered.

Also, make sure you look at GM’s core values on their website (safety, teamwork, etc.). The questions will be based off those values.
