The interview process for General Motors was nothing out of the ordinary. The interview timeline was about 2-3 weeks and included an initial video screen interview, where you were asked questions through a third-party vendor, followed by two 1-hour behavioral interviews with the teams you'd be interfacing with.
The reason I am giving it a thumbs down was because I got good feedback and then, when the recruiter contacted me following that, it seemed like they were going to extend an offer. The recruiter just wanted to make sure we were still aligned on salary expectations. However, they bait-and-switched me by trying to place me in an area that wasn't where I wanted to be per our discussions. When I informed the recruiter, they said they would ask about the agreed-upon location because it was available and would get back to me. The recruiter never got back to me or responded to my inquiry about what happened.
They asked me behavioral questions.
