Software Developer Interview Experience

Process

I applied for a new college graduate software developer position online.

Shortly after, I was contacted and asked to complete a virtual interview through HireVue, in which I recorded my responses to six behavioral questions.

A week or two after this, I was sent an invitation to complete a coding assessment with two fairly straightforward questions.

A few weeks after this, I was contacted by a recruiter saying I made it to the final round, which will be scheduled within the next week.

The final round was two one-hour virtual interviews: one with a development manager and the other with a developer.

Both of these rounds were entirely behavioral in nature, and we just discussed my past experiences and how they aligned with GM's working principles.

Both interviewers were very friendly and professional, and the entire process was very smooth.
