HackerRank first round sent after submitting application. Did not make it past this round, so I do not know the rest. Rejection came a few weeks after confidently completing the fairly easy questions.

Required a video answering questions about things like, "Describe a time you solved a challenging problem." It was very STAR format friendly and allowed for about two retries per question. It was timed, however. If you look up generic soft questions

Interview was a nice experience. I talked with three different managers at the company, each of whom seemed genuinely interested in my background and experience. They were very welcoming and open to discuss what work at GM would be like.
