Good benefits, good pay, good career advancement opportunities, challenge, and variety of tasks.
Work-life balance in some areas of product development (including mine) is poor, and was not the improvement I was looking for when moving from a supplier working too many hours. It is sometimes difficult to get tasks accomplished in a timely manner as the DRE role has all the responsibility but not a lot of authority.
Empower the DREs with more authority and resources to assist in completing tasks, rather than just auditing.
