Pros

One could coast here for years, especially if you don't stand out or become expensive. Once you become valuable though, they can't get rid of you fast enough, for fear of your experience and knowledge infecting others.

Cons
  • No code review structure.
  • No version control or repositories.
  • No documentation or content management systems.
  • Everything is tribal knowledge.
  • "Talk to every NPC at least twice to move forward with quest" style work.
  • Very happy to fire knowledgeable people to make the quarter look better.
  • Management is well-meaning, but the rot is from the top down.
Advice to Management

Bail. Take your years of experience and find work elsewhere while the brand is still worth anything.

Counting down the days until some scandalous disaster strikes.
