Pros

Name recognition, many different types of positions, incredible amount of resources/access to information, benefits and pay are among the best in the industry, and a good return on time investment.

Cons

Most of the cons come from working in the plant (rather than when working out of the engineering offices).

  • Long hours
  • No work/life balance
  • Lots of travel
  • Not much room for career growth (most never make it to management)
Advice to Management

Recognize the forward-thinkers and top performers. Clear out the "dead weight" to make room for productive, active employees. This includes your severance/termination criteria.
