Pros

The pay was definitely great.

Cons

The hiring personnel already knew who they were going to hire before they even interviewed people. It was all a show to seem more official.

GM will push you to work harder and harder, stick you there for mandatory 12-hour days, 5 days a week, plus an 8-hour Saturday, and then not hire you direct. They will work you into a mental breakdown.

They don't properly train new employees, so you are dumped into a fast-paced, stressful environment where you can't learn how to do the job properly or efficiently. Then they won't hire you direct because you don't have skills as good as others.

They will hire a minority simply because they're a minority, no matter how unqualified they may be.

They demand your full life while you work here.

During the busy season, they make the union workers work 10-12 hour shifts plus weekends so they can get their vehicles built on time. Then, when they slow down in production, they'll let the union workers go—the same ones that jumped up to help the company out during their busy time.

The politics and corruption in GM was astonishing and discouraging.
