Pros
  • Amazing benefits package
  • ~10% yearly bonus starting out
  • ~4.4% raise every 6 months for the first 3 years if you're fresh out of college.
Cons
  • No choice as to what you do in the company when you start.
  • Lower than average starting salary.
  • Lots of 'red tape'. Takes hours to do many things that would normally take minutes due to bureaucracy.
  • GM's 'employee discount' is often worse than the offers that dealerships give, and they don't stack.
Advice to Management

Talk to your team about how your project aids in accomplishing the company's current global initiatives.

It's important to know why what you do matters to the company, and that is often lost on us.
