Pros

Good work-life balance.

Cons

No talent retention program, low starting salaries, and poor management (at least in my area).

Advice to Management

Look into a LTI (Long-Term Incentive) program.

Clarify your promotion process.

Add roles instead of bucket roles. Having everyone be a software developer, for juniors and seniors alike, is dumb.
