Pros

A great place to get consistent career progression.

Cons

Salary increases internally will always be outpaced by external hires. Internal politics of different branches make working for GM messy. You are very often overworked to deliver a project in an unreasonable timeframe to avoid your project being poached by another team, or by another country.

Advice to Management

Loyal workers should always be kept up to salary standard or higher than new external hires. An organization that large will always talk, so salaries will not be secret for long.

It is a huge deterrent and demotivator to know your 5 years of GM-relevant knowledge is paid less than someone right out of college that you are constantly having to teach.
