A place you can get paid while doing nothing. Good benefits. A four-day long weekend.
Incompetent management folks who know nothing about management at all.
Doing only stand-up meetings from Scrum but nothing else. Management actually doesn't know what Scrum is and what infrastructure is needed to support Scrum operations.
Management people have no vision at all. They look busy, but they are busy working on something completely unproductive to the team.
Management people never involve themselves in any team activities. They set up Scrum meetings, which they never attend. They set up weekly seminars, which they never attend. They even eat lunch in their own private offices. They have no intention at all to involve themselves in any development/team activities.
Management people are show business guys. They spend their effort on things that can please higher management. However, they care nothing about quality at all. All they want is something to show off. I am sure one day their show will backfire on them due to a lack of quality.
Management (all 4 of them) only spoke to me once during my onboarding day 6 months ago. No more after that.
All managers suffer from poor English communication problems. I can barely understand what they say in team meetings.
All managers are from a small circle of friends. They are all friends to each other. That explains why such incompetent guys can do management jobs because their jobs were gifted rather than earned.
GM's investment will be like throwing a stone into water if current CREC managers are not replaced. In my opinion, they are all good engineers, but that's all. The senior manager, however, is not even a qualified engineer. If GM is already investing millions in CREC infotainment, why not spend just thousands more to hunt for real development managers?
I had a total of 4 interviews: * An initial pre-screen phone interview * A technical interview * A behavioral interview * A final interview with the engineering manager Overall, everyone was very professional, and the whole process was a positive e
10-minute phone call with a recruiter following the STAR-based method. After a few weeks, I got a phone call from them asking to schedule an interview at the Oshawa facility. I arrived that day, and it was a 1-2 hour interview with a panel of dev tea
Initially, I received a phone call two days after submitting my application. The phone interview was mostly behavioral and involved discussion of projects on my resume and my suitability for the position. After almost a month, I had an onsite interv
