Pros

Adds weightage to the professional career.

Good learning path on latest technologies.

Good leadership.

Cons

No work-life balance. Need to be available and work off hours on weekdays and weekends. Sudden layoff with only 2 weeks' notice. Doesn't care about performance and extra efforts put in while layoffs are happening. No proper reason for layoff. No job security.

Advice to Management

I urge the company to consider the impact of sudden layoffs, particularly from the perspective of employees, many of whom may face visa restrictions and other personal challenges. Full-time employment is often seen as a source of security, and abrupt terminations can have significant consequences for individuals and their families.

If layoffs are unavoidable due to budget constraints or performance issues, it would be more considerate to extend the notice period. This would allow employees more time to plan and adjust to the changes, particularly those who rely on their job status for visa purposes.

We understand that business needs can evolve, but after dedicating countless hours—including evenings and weekends—to deliver quality work, it is disheartening to be let go without warning, especially when the reason is something as impersonal as removing duplicates.

A more transparent and compassionate approach would go a long way in maintaining trust and morale among the workforce.
